HZ 21 PAT_B Effective Area Curves NEW EA

Recalibration of HZ21 PAT_B data with new EA curve

Click on image to retrieve postscript of plot. Click on "EA" for each visit to retrieve a table of the observed Effective Area. Click on "FLUX" to see the recalibrated GALEX and STIS calibrated flux plots and click on "CNTS" to see the counts plots.

First, the new Effective Area Curves were used to derive the input counts. Then the observed Effective Area Curve was generated using the STIS spectra resampled with create_synth (without noise).

The plots show the observed EA as black lines compared to the nominal FUV (magenta) and NUV (blue) EA curves. The S/N for a 1000s exposure is shown as the cyan line.
